VOLUNTEER WITH US

- Attend weekly Head Director of Outreach meetings

- Chair weekly meetings with their respective outreach committees

- Assist in recruiting a team of 10 Outreach Directors spread across their outreach region

- Compile information on schools, youth groups, social media groups, and community centres in their outreach region

- Guide Directors of Outreach on how to appropriately promote C3 to students

- Will also participate in C3 outreach themselves

- Design region-specific outreach strategies for their outreach team

- Plan in-person social events for ALL C3 directors/Executives residing in their area to create a tight-knit team

- Will act as ambassadors for TeamUP Science and train their directors to promote relevant TUS events from other TUS branches in their outreach region as applicable

- Prior experience with C3 Outreach is an asset

- Attend weekly Head Director of Recruitment meetings

- Chair weekly meetings with their respective recruitment committees

- Recruiting a team of 5-10 Recruitment Directors from their post-secondary institution

- Devising recruitment strategies for general volunteers at C3 to their respective post-secondary institutions

- Will be asked to complete some lecture talks

- Will keep track of contact information for general volunteers from their university

- Will act as ambassadors for TeamUP Science and train their directors to promote relevant TUS volunteer opportunities from other TUS branches at their institution as applicable

- Prior experience with C3 is an asset

- Attends weekly Core Team meetings

- Manages C3 website and Instagram

- Designs posters and other promotional material for C3

- Submits poster designs to branch President and Chair of Innovations

- Design between 1 and 4 engaging and age-appropriate challenges to be completed by C3 participants

- Attend weekly Task Testing sessions and meetings with overseeing Executives as required

- Modify their tasks as required by the Co-Executives of Remote STEAM

- Assist with Station Moderator interviews and training

- Attend weekly Outreach Director meetings led by their Head Director

- Assist in recruiting a team of 10 Outreach Directors spread across their outreach region

- Appropriately promote C3 to students in their outreach region (training provided by Head Directors)

- Will act as ambassadors for TeamUP Science and promote relevant TUS events from other TUS branches in their outreach region as applicable

- Promote C3 volunteer recruitment on social media and in their community

- Will relay contact information for general volunteers from their university to their Head Director

- Will act as ambassadors for TeamUP Science and promote relevant TUS volunteer opportunities from other TUS branches at their institution as applicable

- Attend weekly or biweekly Fund Development team meetings

- Search and apply for funding through grants

- Contact local businesses to seek event sponsorships

- Assist in planning national-level fundraisers (ie. bottle drives, auctions, etc.)

It is up to each individual Fund Development Director how they choose to budget their time between grant applications, sponsorships, and fundraisers!

- Manage the individual Sprint or Intermediate tasks for the event (explaining the rules and scoring)

- Ensure the tasks are performed in a safe manner

- Can volunteer full day or half day on November 12th OR February 25th

- Work well under pressure and with punctuality

- Adding the scores on a collective Google Sheets file

- MUST have a laptop/computer

On November 13th and February 26th, the Marathon part of our competition takes place. We need volunteers for an afternoon/evening session from 2:00PM-6:00PM MST on these days to help judge and score multiple ~5 minute presentations given by the students as well as being a TA for a few hours (which includes being on a zoom call and answering questions if needed) *Marathon judges do not need to attend training, instead an info sheet will be given.
