Ella is currently studying biology at the University of Alberta in hopes of going to medical school. She loves snowboarding, science and her chihuahua, Pixie. She’s so excited to be C3’s Head Director of Recruitment for Alberta!



SANIA AGARWAL



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Sania is an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta pursuing a major in Immunology. She is passionate about making STEAM opportunities accessible and teaching young students about the wonders of STEAM. In her free time she loves to cook and dance.



NIKHIL KUMAR



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Nikhil is in his second year of Honours Neuroscience at the University of Alberta, looking to pursue a career in medicine afterward. He first became involved with TeamUp Science by volunteering for YSIC and attending various Medical Sciences Workshops. Nikhil is driven by his passion for providing youth from all backgrounds with equal academic opportunities and is more than excited to be involved in anything STEAM related. Outside of school, Nikhil likes to read books, go to the gym and volunteer to help patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries.



TIFANNY BOTIA CORTES



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Tifanny is in her fourth year completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta. She hopes to encourage youth in Edmonton to pursue an interest in STEAM and provide those with limited access to STEAM opportunities with exciting scientific challenges. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and baking!



Lavanya Jain



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Lavanya is a first year neuroscience honors student studying at the University of Alberta. Within YSIC she hopes to help merge the creative nature of arts with the practical nature of STEM, getting youth to understand the artistry of the sciences. Finally, outside of her education Lavanya focuses on broadening her skills in cooking, digital art, and leadership.



Mariam Sofia Boulaksout



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Mariam is in her first year in the physiology honours program at the University of Alberta. She aims to study ophthalmology afterwards because she likes how much impact she can have on a patient’s life. For her, the most gratifying thing is to spend her profession helping people have a better vision. Mariam is very active, and in her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, volunteering, and helping people in need or in any task that should be done. She is very excited to be among the team of directors of recruitment!



DHARMA PANDYA



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Dharma is in his 2nd year of his degree in Immunology and Infections. He is passionate about STEAM and wants it to be more accessible to individuals from remote communities. Whenever there is a chance, Dharma loves playing badminton and hanging out with his friends!

Jainil is a second year Biochemistry student at the University of Alberta. This is his first year involved in the C3 group. His hobbies include snowboarding, and 3D printing. He is looking forward to be working in C3 this year.



Dhwani Arun



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Dhwani is an international undergraduate student pursuing Physics at the UofA has always been aspiring and STEM-driven with strong principles. Beyond her classroom and textbooks, she envisions a better world through collective action and positive change. Her interests include astronomy, soccer, reading, community work, and traveling. Fun Fact: She is a huge fan of Hans Zimmer and other movie background scores.

Rahul is currently in his 3rd year at the University of Alberta pursuing a degree in Immunology & Infections with plans to go into dentistry. He is passionate in teaching and hopes to inspire youth in the various fields of STEAM! In his free time, he loves to watch the Oilers and detail cars!

Mahnoor is currently in her second year, studying Biochemistry at the University of Alberta. She loves photography, pizza, and going on random hikes. During her time with C3, she hopes to inspire youth to learn more about STEAM through creative challenges and develop an interest in STEAM career pathways.

Anusha is in her second year of biomedical engineering at the University of British Columbia. Her goal is to develop new technologies and find opportunities to create scientific progress in healthcare. She is excited to be part of a team that gives students in remote communities the opportunity to be more involved in STEAM. During her free time, Anusha loves playing sports, watching movies, and spending time with her friends.

HEAD DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Sarah is a 4th year student at University of Toronto studying Industrial Relations and Human Resources, and she is joined at C3 as the Head Director of Recruitment for the Greater Toronto Area. She is so excited to present volunteer opportunities to secondary school students in Toronto for more experience with STEAM, and to help facilitate middle/high schoolers with easier access to educational resources. In her free time, you can find Sarah binging Netflix shows & eating all the sweets you can think of!



Xiaochun Wang



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



She is a freshman and currently studying in social science program in the university of Toronto St. George campus. She participated in the C3 because of the wonderful environment and community that C3 created. Moreover, she hopes to be more social with more friends not just peers, but also with friends in upper years. She would like to help create a more friendly and nice environment for the C3 and promote the C3 to let as much as students know. She loves playing badminton, singing, and reading during her spare time.

Peiran is a student at the University of Toronto Rotman Commerce School. She did an internship in an accounting firm in 2021. She's also engaged in U of T community event planning in 2022. She's excited to be a part of C3 this year!

Ellen is a 3rd year student at University of Toronto double majoring in Political Science and Industrial Relations and Human Resources. She joined in C3 as the Recruitment Director for the Greater Toronto Area as she believes creative minds can promote more engaging community. She enjoys cooking, doing yoga and learning anything new during her free time

Linyun is a 3rd year undergraduate student in the Life Science program at the University of Toronto. As a director of recruitment, Linyun hopes to encourage more University of Toronto students to volunteer and get involve with C3.

DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Pedro was born and raised in Hong Kong. He is a 2nd-year student pursuing a Philosophy Specialist at Victoria College, Toronto. Previously, he also studied at the University of British Columbia (UBC) during his first year. Though he comes from a humanities background, he joined C3 hoping to host the many fun events and learn more about science himself. His passion ranges from casual photo-taking to hiking some of the most challenging trails.

Entering her first year of university at UTSG, Lucy is thrilled to serve as one of the Directors of Recruitment at C3. Since the beginning of high school, Lucy has been immersed in the field of STEAM and would love to continue her passion for it in university. Five years later, Lucy’s fondness for STEAM is still unwavering. Outside of C3, Lucy can be found stressing out to plan a MUN conference with her fellow board members, exploring overpriced coffee shops in downtown, experimenting with pasta recipes, or trying to avoid being a hazard on the road. It is Lucy’s sincerest hope that C3 engenders a passionate discourse, fond friendships, and cherished memories for all.

Violet is a third-year student majoring in economic, industrial relations and human resources (IRHR) and minoring in statistics at the University of Toronto. She is intensely interested in human resources and recruitment. She joins C3 because she loves to connect with other people from different cities and countries; most importantly, she wants to share various channels and resources to help students enjoy STEM fields.



Dalhousie University



jessica kempton



HEAD DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Jessica is a current graduate student at Dalhousie University studying mental health and addictions. Prior to her grad studies she completed a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience and Biology, a massage diploma, and an undergraduate certificate in disability management. Aside from school she is an avid outdoors-woman who loves to camp, hike, kayak and rock climb!



Mustansir Pindwarawala



DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT



Mustansir is a third year Medical Sciences student at Dalhousie University and he will complete his BSc with Honours and a Certificate in Genetics. He is an aspiring medical student who has been working as a research assistant in a physiology and molecular biology lab that involves looking at mutations in retinal proteins. He has long been a STEAM advocate having attended SHAD in 2018 and starting up "STEM Union" in his high school. In his spare time, he enjoys reading mystery/adventure novels and playing/watching hockey.

Nix is from Nova Scotia, Canada and is a driven individual who has volunteered with groups in various fields, including at foodbanks and with Team Rubicon. Now studying Medical Science at Dalhousie University, they seek to continue volunteering with C3, having heard about it from their program leader.

Katie is currently a 3rd year students majoring Medical Science program at Dalhousie. She love volunteering during her free time and trying out new sports. She is very excited to be a director of recruitment for C3 and hope to provide her best support in the future!
